Investment fund clients should read the sessions “Auctions of government securities and interest rate” and “Annual historical net returns”, reflected on the second and third page of the Report, regarding the increase of interest rate during 2022, trend of securities’ interest rates, volatility of the fund, forecasts for the duration of inflation and asset allocation.

The Credins Pension Fund has not been affected by the increased and continuous volatility of the government bonds’ interest rates during the year 2022. Since the pension fund has a long-term horizon, the assets of the fund are mostly held-to-maturity, so the price of the quote has not experienced considerable volatility.

“The increase in inflation that Albanian economy is experiencing and the increase of the interest rate by the Bank of Albania, have caused a significant upward trend in the interest rates of the Albanian government securities for all maturities.

However, the expectation is that these fluctuations will be within the cyclical nature of the fund considering the investment horizon. The measures being taken by the Albanian government to keep the internal debt rates under control, can bring stability to the financial market in the future.

According to the forecasts of the Bank of Albania, inflation is expected to be at high levels during 2022, to continue with a downward trend during 2023 and then reach the objective at the level of 3% until 2024.

Considering the above, the Fund’s investors are encouraged to be patient, not to make disinvestments influenced by unfavorable market conditions and to have an approach oriented towards the long-term value of their investments.”
